Industry Update
New year remodeling projects kicked off stronger than ever in Jan-Feb. with many clients locking in pricing before we had a material price increase. Sales haven’t slowed since but we see more clients focusing on trips/vacation (rightfully so) as COVID restrictions lift and weather turns warm. Stock market uncertainty and the Ukraine war surprisingly haven’t slowed demand in our industry but 6%+ mortgage rates will likely have an impact.

Lead Times
Closet lead times are now 8+ weeks. We’ve seen an increase in backordered drawer and doors and to avoid slipping install times and keep our clients happy we switched to a two phase install approach on many of our projects where we install all structural elements on time so clients can move-in with a later go-back to install drawers and doors.

What Our Builders Love
Motorized window treatments that are battery powered. The sleek rechargeable battery packs last 6-12 months on a single charge and require NO HARDWIRING. Recharging stations and extra battery packs are provided to all homeowners so they can swap them out when needed. Builders I talk with don’t realize this is an option and the advancement in battery technology makes it a fantastic durable solution. Less coordination = happy builder ?
